The BDT story

Every story has a beginning. Ours started on a plane.

In December 2017, we boarded a flight to Portugal. It wasn’t a holiday – it was a life change. In our luggage, we brought a dream, bold flavours in our minds, and the courage to start over.

Between one job and another, the love for cooking remained intact. The pandemic hit, and everything changed. We lost people, faced challenges, but it was right there, at home, that the first spark of BDT was born. Back then, we served what we could: grilled pasta, grilled rice, and hot dogs.

From Buraco do Tatu to the world: our roots have never left us.

As time went by, BDT started to grow. Burgers made it to the menu, orders picked up, and we realised it was no longer possible to stay behind the scenes.

It was time to leave the home kitchen and build something bigger. With a lot of hard work and dedication, we created our own space — every detail crafted with intention and one clear purpose: to make BDT a place where everyone who walks in feels like they’ve come to the right place.
